Impairment Issues

Physicians and other health care professionals perform critical services, requiring that they be in their best health, and that they pose no danger to patients when delivering care. Some cases involving the Medical Board, or perhaps a medical staff or employer medical group, can have at their core an impairment issue, or at least the suspicion of impairment, that requires a very different analysis.

If you have an issue such as addiction to alcohol, prescription drugs or illegal substances, or suffer from depression, neurological disorder or other disability, together you and I can bring to bear all the resources available to craft a solution that is best for you, through a completely medical model approach. The ultimate goal in these cases is return to, and preservation of, your health with as little impact on the license or clinical privileges as patient safety permits.
